Deanston 12 Year Old is the flagship expression from the eco-pioneering Deanston Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels, it delivers a signature profile described by the whisky makers as "a lawnmower exploded in your mouth – freshly cut grass, sweet green fruits, and summer in a glass."

Known for its handcrafted approach, distinct waxy mouthfeel, and natural presentation, this unpeated malt balances crisp orchard fruits with rich honeyed heather and warm spice.

Distillery Craft & Sustainability

• Industrial Heritage: Housed in a historic 1785 Victorian cotton mill transformed into a distillery in 1966. maturation takes place in former weaving sheds with vaulted ceilings and constant temperatures.
• 100% Hydro-Powered: Scotland’s only self-sufficient distillery for electricity, generating all its power on-site using the River Teith and feeding excess energy back to the grid.
• Handcrafted Philosophy: Made using traditional, analogue methods, open-top mash tuns, long fermentations (~85 hours), and no computer automation, yielding a signature waxy, fruit-forward Highland spirit.
